You can activate our Quickview button on your cross sells. They help with quick previewing and adding cross sells to the cart without leaving the current page. You are able to enable/disable quick view on mobile, cross sells and hide/show Quickview for cross sells that are sold out.

This you can do by going into Settings -> Quickview and Upsell Pop-up Settings.
